Questions about pavers sealing
How often does sealing need to be redone?
It depends on sun exposure, pool chemical splash, and foot traffic, but a driveway or pool deck in full Naples sun wears faster than a shaded walkway. Watch for fading, water no longer beading on the surface, or sand washing out of joints as your signs it is due.
Why two coats instead of one?
A single coat leaves thin or missed spots that wear through in high traffic zones within months. Two coats give an even, durable layer that actually holds up to Florida sun and rain instead of failing early.
Will sealing make my pool deck slippery?
Only if the wrong finish is used. We use a slip-resistant application around pools and wet areas specifically because a glossy sealer next to water is a hazard, not a feature.
Can sealing fix pavers that have already faded badly?
Sealing brings back a good amount of the original color once the surface is clean and the sand is refreshed, but a paver that has been badly bleached for years will not look brand new. It will look significantly better and stop fading further.

We re-sand. The joints get color matched Trident sand set with the wet sanding method before any sealer goes down. Sealing over empty or dirty joints is why pavers shift and weeds come back.
