Most of the paver sealing that fails around Naples fails because a step got skipped. Sealer over dirty joints, or one thin coat instead of two, looks right for a month and then goes.
- Deep clean. Mold, algae, stains and buildup come off the surface first. Sealing over any of that traps it in for years.
- Re-sand the joints. Color matched Trident sand goes into every joint using the wet sanding method, which locks the pavers in place and keeps weeds down.
- Two coats of sealer. Two coats of Cobble Loc, not one. That is what brings the color back and holds off the sun and the rain.
Fresh sand in every joint before any sealer touches the surface.
What we put down
The same two products on every job, because they hold up here. Color matched Trident joint sand, wet sanded so it packs into the joint instead of sitting on top of it. Then two coats of Cobble Loc, which is what gives you up to five years of protection rather than one season of shine.
On natural stone and marble the sealer does a different job. There it is about keeping stains and mold out of the stone rather than deepening a color, so it is a different product and a different finish.
